Our background

Odyssey Institute is the registered training organisation (RTO) of The Odyssey Institute, a division of Odyssey House Victoria. The Odyssey Institute, through its research and training, has a best practice, evidence-based approach to the delivery of excellence in education.

We deliver qualifications and short courses from Nationally Accredited packages as well as non-accredited seminars and workshops that are tailored to the needs of client organisations and their participants. Within the Therapeutic Community, Odyssey's residential AOD rehabilitation centre, Odyssey Institute delivers accredited courses across a range of vocational areas to clients including business administration, hospitality, and horticulture. Within the professional AOD and Community sector, we deliver exceptional training in Alcohol and Other Drugs and Mental Health qualifications.

Trainers across all course areas are well qualified and experienced within their field. We are a leader in the field of AOD training, drawing on the expertise of trainers who are skilled AOD clinicians.

Our courses are delivered Nationally through a range of modes including face-to-face, online, and blended training (a combination of face-to-face and online). With a commitment to the provision of Nationally accredited training in the rural and remote areas of Australia, we provide cutting edge, interactive and immersive online training experiences that are accessible to all, including those with dial up Internet.

We are also part of a Community of Practice involving partnerships for the delivery of AOD and TAA courses in four states in Australia and additionally a training alliance with a National peak body for employment services (NESA).
