Course Description

The Certificate IV in Training & Education (TAE40110) is the endorsed qualification that has replaced the Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAA40104).

The TAE40110 is essential for those who are responsible for presenting & assessing accredited training to meet identified competency requirements in the workplace. The Certificate IV TAE is designed to provide workplace trainers and assessors with a range of delivery and assessment skills.


Upon completion of the Certificate IV in Training and Education you will achieve a Nationally Recognised qualification and be a qualified trainer and assessor.

  • TAEDES401A - Design and Develop Learning Programs
  • TAEDES402A - Use Training Packages and Accredited Courses to meet client needs
  • TAEDEL401A - Plan, organise and deliver group based learning
  • TAEDEL402A - Plan, organise and facilitate learning in the workplace
  • TAEASS401A - Plan assessment activities and processes
  • TAEASS402A - Assess Competence
  • TAEASS403A - Participate in Assessment Validation
  • TAEDEL301A - Provide work skill instruction
  • TAEASS301A - Contribute to Assessment
  • TAEASS502A - Design and Develop Assessment Tools

Expected study hours per week: 6-8

Course duration: 6-12 months part time
